Hail and Farewells
Veteran owned and operated. A private ceremony in front of a 500-gallon copper still, then craft cocktails in the tasting room. No buyout required.

We know what the night is for
We are veteran owned and operated.
We don’t lead with that for the badge. We lead with it because when your unit walks through that door, the people on the other side of the bar already know what the evening is for — what a change of command costs a family, what it means to hail somebody who just PCS’d in with their whole life in a conex, what it means to farewell somebody who held the line with you.
You won’t have to explain the night to us. Just tell us the date.
You don’t have to rent the whole place
We host a lot of these. Enough to know what units actually need — and what they don’t.
Most venues make you buy out the entire room to get any privacy at all. You don’t have to do that here. We’ll give your unit its own space for the ceremony, then open the tasting room back up so your people can settle in, order a round, and actually talk to each other. You pay for the event you’re having, not for square footage you’re not using.
Bring twelve. Bring eighty. We’ll build the night around your group.
Do the ceremony in front of the still
Hail your incoming. Farewell your outgoing. Read the top-ten list, hand over the unit coins, let the commander say his piece — all of it in front of a working 500-gallon copper still, in a mill that has been standing on this land for 128 years.
It photographs beautifully, and it gives the moment the weight it deserves. Nobody remembers the ceremony they did in a hotel conference room. They remember this one.
Then step back into the tasting room
When the formal part is done, the night opens up. Everything behind our bar is made here or grown here. We distill our own rum and whiskey on site. We make every syrup in house. Our honey comes from a farm a couple of miles down the road, our limes are hand-squeezed from farms around the mill, and our mint is picked fresh several times a week.
Want to add a distillery tour before the ceremony? We can do that too — it is a good icebreaker for spouses and new arrivals who don’t know anybody yet.
Minutes from post
We’re on the North Shore at the Old Waialua Sugar Mill — a short drive from Schofield Barracks and Wheeler Army Airfield, and an easy run for Pearl Harbor-Hickam and Kāne‘ohe Bay.
Close enough that nobody has to make a night of the drive. Far enough that it feels like you actually went somewhere.
Open Tuesday–Sunday, 11:00 am – 9:00 pm. Closed Mondays.
